Job Responsibility:

Role Overview:

The team undertakes and oversee all elements of asset transfer processing. This involves transfers of Stocks and Shares ISAs, Cash ISAs, certificated stock transfers and non-ISA portfolio transfers (both in and out) on both a cash and an in-specie basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To undertake and oversee all administrative processes surrounding transfers both onto and from CBAM across all product and portfolio types.
  • Assist team manager/supervisor with authorisations and workload management across the team including accurate and timely processing of TA applications, KYC requests and transfers, where applicable
  • Involvement in regular checking, monitoring and the verification of documents to ensure they are completed properly and meet internal and regulatory requirements
  • To undertake and oversee direct liaison with 3rd parties both in terms of documentation forwarding and query/issue resolution.
  • To ensure close liaison with other internal departments, to ensure all business processes run smoothly and effectively.
  • Ongoing maintenance of static data within Equisoft system
  • Adherence to all departmental procedures and active involvement in reviewing processes, procedures and controls on an ongoing basis to ensure all processes are as efficient (and risk controlled) as possible.
  • Assist the Incident Management and Service Management Teams in the resolution of queries
  • Assistance in recording and collating departmental statistics on a daily and monthly basis, where appropriate
  • Detailed involvement in project work to develop the workings of the department.
  • Involvement in problem solving, reviews of existing processes and testing of new functionality
  • To inform Line Manager of areas of concern and issues that may arise.
  • Demonstrate the Firm's Business Principles (Client, Excellence, People & Integrity).

Regulatory Responsibilities (Compliance/T&C)

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • experience of operational processes in wealth manager or private client asset management practices would be a key advantage, as would experience in working with transfers
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective prioritisation
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately within very tight deadlines
  • Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative and willing to respond to varying requests
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime during peak workload periods
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • IT skills
  • Proactive nature to gain efficiencies
