Job Responsibility:
We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) based at our Endeavour Academy on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who has experience of working in a school setting with students who present with challenging behaviour and who have specific learning difficulties such as ASD, OOD, ADHD. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (minimum Grade 4 (C) / Level 2) is essential as is experience of planning and leading teaching and learning activities (within agreed systems of supervision).
We are looking for applicants who have a genuine passion to work with our students, who have the ability to motivate and stimulate learners and who are willing to go the extra mile to bring out the best in our young people.
Essential Requirement:
- Level 2 in English and Maths.
- ICT literate.
- At least 3 years experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching at Level 2 or above in a secondary school setting.
- Planning and leading teaching and learning activities (under supervision).
- Evidence of commitment to personal development.
- HLTA Status.
