About Us Scantech Offshore, part of James Fisher and Sons, provides an impressive range of rental equipment, including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems.
Our remit extends to the provision of qualified and competent personnel for the operating, servicing and maintaining all rental equipment, affording clients the highest standards of quality and safety for operations. Scantech Offshore products are delivered worldwide from our key locations in the UK (Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth) and Western Australia (Perth).
The Role We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Finance Team on a 6 months temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain invaluable exposure to the transactional finance activities, processing payments, supplier invoices, managing accounts payable data, reviewing invoices and more!
The role will be based in St Helens and we offer hybrid working.
Principle Accountabilities
- Assist the purchase ledger team in ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices.
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Monitoring the Accounts Payable mailbox.
- Performing a variety of accounting reconciliations.
- Ensure all bill payments are processed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Invoice review.
- Invoice and general ledger data entry.
- Processing and verifying credit cards, expenses and Caxton card transactions.
- Raising sales invoices and liaising with the regional team when required.
- Assisting with audits and discrepancy checks.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks as and when required by Finance Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, or administrative position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Team player.
- Attention-to-detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proactive attitude.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
