We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Internship to join our Work Winning Team.

Starting Salary: £22,764

Location: The Colmore Building, Colmore Circus, Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6AT

Start Date: 2nd September 2024

Duration: 12 Months

To support the Business Development team in the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives that drive business growth in Amey's Rail Sector Business. The TI Work Winning Team was set up to drive bidding best practice and professionalism across the business - we interface across to complete lifecycle of a project, from business development and bidding through to mobilisation and delivery.

You will be responsible for:

  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.
  • Business Development Support: Assist in the creation of sales presentations and proposals. Support the sales team in client meetings and follow-ups.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse customer data and sales metrics to assess business performance and suggest improvements.
  • Networking: Be an ambassador for Amey, attend industry events and networking meetings to establish contacts and represent the company.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing and coordinating projects from conception to completion.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on business development activities.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Pursuing a Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, STEM, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • Commitment to see job through from start to finish.
  • Team player in both own team and across virtual teams.
  • Proactive self-starter who's ambitious, personable, and full of energy and enthusiasm to question and create opportunities, ability to think outside of the box.
