Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Materials Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations and logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating material receipts, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Duties:

- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, and materials handling

- Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support

- Utilise forklifts and other mechanical equipment for materials handling

- Help to establish and maintain and update a warehouse management system for accurate inventory tracking

- Oversee inventory control processes to minimise discrepancies

- Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment

- Monitor and optimise warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval

- Liaise with suppliers and carriers to schedule deliveries and pickups

Requirements:

- Proven experience in warehouse management and logistics

- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems

- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment used in warehouses

- Familiarity with receiving, and materials handling processes

- Previous experience in team management within a warehouse setting

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
