An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Governance Administrator (22.5 hours per week)to join the Governance team within the Adult Community Services Division, based at Horton House.

This is an ideal post for someone who requires flexibility in their working hours to support their work-life balance.

We are a small, high performing team that work closely together to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

You will be joining our team to assist with the administration of the incident and risk reporting system (Datix) by uploading documents, actions, reports, and risks. You will also be providing administrative support to members of the governance team.

You will be joining our team during an exciting chapter of change to the way that our governance services are delivered, and you can be part of this change.

We are looking for someone who has previous administrative experience, alongside an eagerness to learn. You will have the ability to use word, excel and outlook, and you will be able to manage your own workload.

We will commit to providing you with the opportunity to further develop your skills should you wish to progress your career within the service or organisation.

Main duties of the job

To act as the main entry contact into the Governance service.

Supporting the governance team to ensure timely response to requests for statements/information/reports/actions.

Use of a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel etc. to produce correspondence and maintain records, spreadsheets, and databases.

Proactively process emails and/or telephone calls from colleagues, patients, carers, and external agencies

Process requests for changes to the Datix incident management system (in relation to the recording and remapping of incidents and actions), to colleagues, departments, and other services, both internally and externally

To support the Oldham Adult Community Services Governance Team in a range of administrative duties. These duties will include data input, creating reports and recording meeting minutes.

Attend any meetings, creating, collating, and recording agendas and minutes as is relevant to the role.

Create and disseminate staff information boards and guidance, relating to governance and other indicators (e.g., performance, and finance), across the division in the agreed formats.

Participate in on-the-job training of newly appointed staff, as and when required, under the direction of the team manager e.g., new staff shadowing.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Telephone duties in an office environment
  • Operating a PC using Microsoft packages and use relevant ICT systems to update and maintain records
