(Full-time/Part-time)

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester M6 5FX

Job Type: 12-month fixed term(with a view to make permanent), In-person

Salary: £11.44 - £12.00 per hour dependent on experience and ability

About Us:

Clarendon Surgery & The Angel Medical Practice is an NHS GP Practice that is a dynamic and efficient organisation supporting 10,200 patients in Salford, Greater Manchester. Due to the expansion of our services, we are excited to announce opportunities for both full-time and part-time Care Navigator ( Receptionist / Medical Administrator ) to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

As a Care Navigator ( Receptionist / Medical Administrator ), you will play a crucial role in providing a high-quality and caring service to our patients. The successful candidates will be expected to:

· Welcoming and assisting patients during core GP hours; Mon- Fri 8.00am - 6.30pm

· Managing appointment bookings efficiently and coordinating with patients and practices via telephone

· Operating the reception desk, supporting patient via telephone or online

· Assisting with Total Triage appointment system and signposting efficiently.

· Undertaking relevant administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements:

The successful candidates must possess the following:

· Ability to work well under pressure and multitask

· Excellent communication skills and a friendly telephone manner· Computer literacy

· Methodical with close attention to detail

· Understanding of working with sensitive and confidential information

· Previous experience in a clinical or GP surgery (desirable but not essential)

· Flexibility to provide cover and work additional hours, when required

. Candidates who are bi/multi-lingual are encouraged to apply

Note

All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English to meet the standards set out in the Code of Practice on the English Language Requirements for Public Sector Workers (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016)

Key Emphasis on Independence:

In addition to the above, successful candidates should highlight their ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. The role demands a self-motivated and proactive approach, where individuals can confidently carry out responsibilities alone following initial training.

Working Hours:

We have two positions available, working over a 5-day rota, covering the GP Core contract hours:

Monday to Friday: 08:00am to 6.30pm

Note: This role is in-person only with a requirement to travel and work from either of the surgery's two sites and provide occasional support to our neighbouring practices within the South South East PCN area where requested.
