To be eligible for this role, you must have graduated from the University of Portsmouth at undergraduate or postgraduate level in 2023 or be due to graduate from the University of Portsmouth in 2024. The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and confident University of Portsmouth graduate to join our Schools and Colleges team. As Student Recruitment and Conversion Assistant you will:
  • support our work with UK schools and colleges to promote the University to prospective students, generate leads and increase undergraduate applications.
  • represent the University at Higher Education recruitment exhibitions and events throughout the UK and deliver presentations to prospective students.
  • assist the team in the organisation and delivery of recruitment and conversion events and activities for prospective students, parents and teachers.
You will be based at the University of Portsmouth but you will be required to undertake extensive and frequent travel to schools, colleges and recruitment events throughout the UK and stay away from home occasionally. You will be expected to travel efficiently to multiple locations per day, sometimes to locations without public transport, and transport promotional materials and stands to events during these visits. DBS clearance is essential. You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required. To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • experience of working with and motivating children and young adults
  • knowledge of the UK schools and colleges system, Higher Education and Widening Participation.
