Join us as a Finance Data Management Analyst
- In this key role, you'll be monitoring data quality and business validation controls
- You'll contribute to data driven solutions which support changing business demand and deliver the best outcome for the customers
- It's an opportunity to collaborate with the Risk & Finance Data Transformation programme and gain exposure for you and your work, while working in a fast-paced environment
What you'll do
We'll look to you to help improve our Risk and Finance data product capability to enable accurate and complete data being provided to our businesses, and to external stakeholders.
You'll monitor data quality and business validations controls to understand the root cause of any quality issues and remediate them. Throughout the course of your work, you'll also identify opportunities to simplify and standardise activity across business outcomes.
In addition, you'll be:
- Making sure data dictionary, data lineage and other required artefacts for Risk & Finance Data Product (RFDP) are in place and in line with the standard
- Implementing the data ownership model for key data elements, working with senior stakeholders and the wider bank
- Understanding data attributes, data models and transformations in data sets to provide a business context
- Running controls on RFDP
- Supporting End User Adoption via training, queries and online content management
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, you'll need the ability to deliver high quality outputs while focusing on the needs of customers and stakeholders. It's crucial that you have strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to manage your own workload by prioritising activities and working on your own initiative.
Additionally, an understanding of data programmes or RFDP build would be advantageous.
You'll also need:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- The ability to understand and resolve complex data issues
- The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a successful delivery
- A good knowledge and understanding of key finance processes and systems
