Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install roofing systems including shingles, tiles, and metal roofing materials.
• Repair and replace damaged roofs to ensure proper waterproofing and insulation.
• Work with various materials such as masonry and metal to fabricate roofing components.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working at heights.
• Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure quality workmanship on projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job.
• Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to plumb structures accurately during installation processes.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work from schematics or plans.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
