Moor Park
Founded in 1923 Moor Park Golf Club boasts two Harry Colt designed championship courses with a spectacular Grade 1 listed clubhouse. Set within three hundred acres of parkland to the south-east of Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire 30 minutes from central London, the Club has a thriving membership of 1,500. With 13 tennis courts, lavish dining rooms and beautiful grounds, Moor Park is far more than just a golf club. It is a home for members, and a destination for visitors.
Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Golf Operations & Retail Manager, the purpose of this role is to service the membership and visitors within the golf shop and on the courses. Providing a seamless level of service at every interaction.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the golf industry and an interest in further developing their skills and career.
At the heart of the role is customer service. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering first-class customer service across all aspects of the role and business.
Job specification
· Assist in all daily golf operations.
· Maintain strong knowledge of golf shop merchandise and assist with stock management, inventory and designing golf displays.
· Assist in providing a highly desirable golf retail outlet for our member and visitors.
· Be sufficient in the use retail/golf systems such as intelligent golf, golf genius and ESP.
· Stock management.
· Work closely with the golf team to ensure an excellent customer experience.
· Speak with every guest in a professional and courteous manner whilst striving to ensure that every guest leaves Moor Park feeling better than when they arrived.
· Collect and replenish the range balls at all given opportunities to ensure the ball machines are always topped up appropriately.
· Ensure all customer facing areas of the golf operations are always kept clean and tidy.
· Manage the tee sheet and players on the day to ensure all tee times are keeping up with the pace of play.
· Present buggies as shown every morning for members/guests and maintain them to their highest standard through cleaning and other maintenance required.
· Assist with the locker room management including the cleaning of shoes and clubs.
· Complete starting duties when necessary, ensuring all those who tee off have been given the correct information as needed.
· Liaise throughout the day with the golf shop to ensure members and guests needs are catered for in a timely manner.

· Utilise Intelligent Golf and ESP to ensure you are aware of the events taking place on each day.
General
· Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation/good practice guidance including GDPR, equal opportunities and security of financial data.
· To establish industry best practice to all areas of the Club's activities and play a pivotal role in delivering the Club's operational, financial, and strategic goals.
· To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance, in line with company standards.
· Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area.
· To adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
· To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to company policies.
· Support colleagues in delivering a high standard of customer service.
· Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by the management team.
· Promote Moor Park in a positive light at every opportunity.
Required skills / qualifications for this role:
· Excellent communication & organisational skills
· IT Literate: Word, Excel, ESP
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage varied workload and meet objectives
· A creative mindset with ‘can do' attitude
· Desirable - previous experience within golf or member club environment
· Previous retail experience
Remuneration, benefits and hours of work:
· 45 hours in the summer and 35 hours in the winter, ensuring flexibility and work-life balance.
· 5 days out of 7 days, weekend work will be required
· Salary £25,000
· Contribution to company pension fund
· Training & Professional development provided (subject to individual and business needs)
· 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
