Job Context/Purpose
We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for the right person to be part of an exciting growth journey at SA Equip. To be successful in this role, you will be a hands-on, practical team player, a critical eye for detai, computer literate and good quality communication standards. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including processing financial documents, performing accounting work and completing basic administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Entering and processing of supplier bills and customer invoices
- Entering and processing of bank payments from customers/to suppliers
- Preparing information ready for month end
- Debt collecting
- Monitor an email inbox, process statements and chasers from suppliers, and deal with invoice queries as necessary
Job Requirements
- Experience in bookkeeping and Computer literate
- Strong time management skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
- Administrative skills for filing financial records
- Computer literacy, familiarity with spreadsheets and databases such as Microsoft Office. Experience with Odoo (the companys ERP), would be beneficial
- Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees in the accounts department
