The role of Junior Account Manager:
As Junior Account Manager, your role will be expected to drive customer enterprise opportunities through proactive outreach and cross-team collaboration with the Sales and Customer Success teams. You will work strategically to identify qualifying customers and present to key stakeholders within the institutions to sell the value of our enterprise solution across their organisation.

You'll be joining our charismatic and growing Sales Team, working closely with Josh our Account Manager, Mais our Senior Account Executive, James our Account Executive and our SDR team. You'll report into Isabel, Sales Manager who has been with Glean for over 5 years!

What you'll be doing:
Prospecting & engagement
- Qualifying leads (CMQL's) that are received from the Marketing team.
- Running discovery calls booked by the SDR team.
- Delivering Glean demonstrations that clearly articulate the value of our solution.
- Project managing and owning the entire sales process from demonstration, through negotiations, and all the way to close.
Identifying Solutions & Planning
- Understanding customer problems and requirements, looking for trends, and how Glean can support institutional goals.
- Developing account growth plans to identify upsell opportunities and maximise account growth.
- Navigating complex organisations to develop an understanding of business drivers and expand our network of influential contacts.
- Leveraging our existing customer relationships to encourage Glean for Education adoption across state systems and at multi-campus colleges.
CRM Management & Administration
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date notes on the CRM.
- Tracking and reporting on all key sales activities.
- Pipeline management and sales qualification to ensure an accurate forecast of new revenue and upselling opportunities.
- Preparation of commercial proposals, designed to meet customer requirements.
Collaboration
- Working collaboratively as a team to ensure maximum efficiency whilst also producing quality results.
- Working collaboratively with other teams including Marketing, Customer Success and Product to advocate for our key customers.
About you:
Essential:
- 2+ years experience in Customer Success Management / Account Management / Account Executive or similar.
- Experience of successfully working to financial KPIs, like sales or retention targets.
- Experience working in a Software as a Service (SaaS) business.
- Confident hosting webinars and stakeholder meetings with strong presentation skills.
Bonus / nice to have:
- Experience working in higher education and an understanding of the landscape.
- Understanding of Assistive Technology and how it supports students with disabilities or additional needs.
- Experience working with customer communities or running a customer advocate program.
- Experience using Hubspot, Zoom and G-suite.
Salary and benefits:
£33,000 - £38,000 + OTE dependent upon experience

Location:
We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.

- Screening interview with someone in our Recruitment team (30 minutes).
- First stage interview with the hiring manager and another Glean colleague (1 hour).
- Final stage interview which includes a 1 hour culture and values interview, plus a 30 minute task. You will be meeting with the hiring manager and one of the Executive Team.
