We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster to join our established and experienced Professional and Financial Risk claims team here at RSA working on a hybrid basis from either our Glasgow or Horsham office 3 days per week.

Your role

As our Claims Adjuster, you will handle and negotiate the settlement of Professional Indemnity claims in collaboration with colleagues, external providers, customers, and their representatives. You will have considerable technical knowledge base and will collaborate closely with traders and portfolio underwriters as part of a team to contribute to the achievement of department goals that feed into the UK Claims Vision.

Your responsibilities will include handling professional indemnity claims in accordance with your license level, agreed-upon performance targets, service standards, and overall business change targets. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service. Supporting ProFin and, where applicable, supporting the Claims Account Manager in winning and retaining business, as well as identifying opportunities to highlight ProFin Claims as an RSA differentiator.

This is a UK-based position with the possibility of travel within the UK as needed.

About you

You will have prior experience working in Professional Indemnity claims, but we are also willing to consider candidates with a broader liability claims/third-party insurance claims background or recent graduate looking to establish their career path.

You will be highly literate with excellent communication and negotiation skills and will take personal responsibility for your development. You will have the ability to manage your own case and work as part of a team.

Formal qualifications obtained through ACII and /or relevant degree are preferred, however, experience is regarded as far more important.
