Supplier Assurance Specialist

Supplier Assurance Specialist, Enterprise Risk Assurance

Your new role At NewDay

As part of the Enterprise Risk Assurance team, you will be responsible for delivering Supplier Assurance activity across both existing and new suppliers. You will undertake assurance to validate key NewDay suppliers align with legal and regulatory standards, as well as NewDay Policy, across a range of service-determined risk attributes. The role holder will therefore be required to work collaboratively with a wide range of teams such as Procurement, Information Security, the DPO, the MLRO and People.

0-12 months you'll deliver

  • Supplier Assurance activity in line with the agreed programme of testing.
  • Communication of assurance output to Supplier Managers and Accountable Executives.
  • Management of actions to ensure findings from reviews are addressed.
  • Deliver MI / Reporting of Supplier Assurance, including analysis of trends.
  • As needed, support improvements to the Supplier Assurance methodology and deputise for the Assurance Manager.

What you'll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Experience in a Third Party Risk focused role which included conducting Supplier Assurance
  • Knowledge of third party technical control requirements
  • Naturally curious - a logical and methodical approach to problem solving while delivering to timescale
  • Able to work independently within a fast-paced environment on multiple objectives
  • Able to demonstrate management of both peers and senior collaborators

And we would love you to know or learn:

  • FinTech
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory and industry standards e.g. Operational Resilience, Information Security (PCI-DSS, ISO), Data Protection, Consumer Duty
