Job description

Santander is looking for one Managers (Corporate & Investment Banking) for Leverage Finnance - Lending CIO department (to cover all Leverage Finance activities - from Origination/Primary market to secondary market business lines).

The candidate will have the opportunity participate and lead different projects for the transformation of IT & business processes for the Institutional Lending division in Santander Corporate and Investment Banking, across different departments that cover the end to end process Leverage Finance desks (Origination, Servicing, BO, Settlement&Accounting, Trading, and Portfolio Management & distribution of Loans, among other).

The position is located in London, but with a Global Reach (travelling will be required, mainly to Madrid and NY).

Main responsibilities:

  • Define the technological strategy for the Origination/Primary market the Leverage Finance business in SCIB worldwide (include Left Lead, Agent, Participant roles)
  • Define the technological strategy for the Loan Trading / Sales / Secondary Market for the Leverage Finance business in SCIB worldwide
  • Execute & Manage the projects associated with Leverage Finance
  • Ensure the technological environment of Leverage Finance follows the best practice of local markets and Global SCIB CTO strategy
  • Ensure business continuity from a technological perspective (requirements from business & other stakeholders are understood, met with technological solutions in a timely manner, and

Requirements and experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Inside knowledge of Financial Industry, particularly of the main products under Corporate and Investment Banking. Wholesale products like Loans (Project Finance, Asset Finance, IG, Corporate, Syndicated), RPPs, Banking or Markets (Derivatives, Bonds & Repos) is a must
  • Experience in Baking related projects (either as a consultant or a internal employee)
  • Experience with the Loan Industry (either Origination/Primary or Secondary/Trading markets)
  • Previous Knowledge of Santander (and Santander internal tools) will be valued
  • Previous Knowledge of Murex and/or Loan IQ will be valued
  • Experience in analysing requirements and transforming them to IT/Process solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of Office (Excel & PPT)
  • Very good communication skills is a must
  • Project/Program Management skills is a nice-to-have (coordinate people, budgeting, organizing information)
  • English: B2 or higher is a must.
  • Spanish: B2 or higher will be valued.
  • Basic programming skills is a Plus
