Job Responsibility:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Data Manager in the Research & Innovation Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. The role involves leading on data entry across all of the research studies in the department, which is integral to ensuring that research delivery is carried out smoothly and efficiently. Therefore you will be a key-player in our department and essential to helping ensure the integrity of clinical trial data according to Good Clinical Practice. This post involves working with different ICT systems and databases for the purposes of:
  • Data transcribing/collection of data using different methods
  • Use of paper and electronic patient records
  • Updating research databases
  • Ensuring data protection and maintaining the security of research data
Previous experience of data entry in clinical trials is desirable, however this opportunity will suit individuals with strong ICT skills and data management who have a keen interest in learning more about clinical research. This role involves working with multiple people in the research team on different projects, and therefore workload prioritisation and organisation skills are necessary.
