Salary:£27,404 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, 12 month fixed term contract with the option of a full time analyst position at the end

What you'll be doing;

  • Manage sample processing efficiently, ensuring quick turnaround for pre-acceptance and plant samples
  • Communicate analysis results and non-conformities to relevant teams and management
  • Maintain high standards in analytical equipment operation and maintenance
  • Monitor environmental parameters and provide radiation protection supervision
  • Support plant processing and effluent treatment operations with analytical expertise
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper sample handling procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and development of laboratory operations
  • Collaborate with other departments providing technical support and analytical guidance

What we're looking for;

  • Chemical degree / HNC desirable
  • Chemical Experience working within an Analytical Lab or Waste management industry / related field.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the requirements of a COMAH site.
  • Excellent work ethic with a drive to improve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and within a team.
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor (Not Essential)
  • The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as they will cover both sides of the lab which may include some early/late shifts
