    About the role Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for energy and sustainability? We are seeking an Energy & Technology Expert to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure alignment with corporate goals and oversee the delivery of capital projects and contracting models related to energy assets, ensuring they meet or exceed business case assumptions. You will be responsible for implementing and improving corporate standards, developing synergies from learnings to enhance future projects, and documenting best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our energy strategy and sustainability initiatives. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
    • Maintain and develop contacts with major suppliers and operational teams
    • Coordinate divisional expert group on energy assets
    • Provide technical due diligence for strategy development and strategic evaluations (e.g., carbon reduction projects)
    • Evaluate energy markets and develop strategies in alignment with corporate sustainability goals
    • Support business case development (energy costs, etc.)
    • Create detailed specifications for tender documents
    • Lead technical discussions with suppliers, make technological recommendations, support contract development, and ensure performance guarantees
    • Follow project execution, sign off on engineering documentation, and develop training programs for operational teams
    • Prepare and execute commissioning plans, monitor performance guarantee status, and ensure achievement of final acceptance criteria (FAC)
    • Develop and maintain energy concept standards for new plants, define minimum performance parameters, and report on performance monthly
    • Share insights and best practices through Best Available Technology (BAT) documents

    • Proven track record on majoy energy projects, from negotiation to FAC
    • Experience in project implementation, ideally in the paper industry
    • Significant experience and knowledge of energy and technology in large businesses and around power plants
    • Technical degree/qualifications
    • Ability to drive for and achieve results under pressure
