Your profile

The Role The Property Manager is the key relationship manager for landlords and tenants throughout their tenancy, offering support on financial, leasing, and compliance matters, alongside reactive maintenance repairs and asset management works. The trainee property manager will oversees a portfolio size of between 60 - 70 properties. Whilst not an exhaustive list, the core responsibilities are as follows:

  • Organising reactive maintenance.
  • Managing rent arrears.
  • Organising deposit release at tenancy end.
  • Liasing with contractors in order to instruct, obtain quotes/job reports and arrange appointments, whilst ensuring high quality of workmanship.
  • To relay job reports and updates to the landlord and obtain cost approval on any quotes.
  • Managing mid-term tenancy inspection reports to the landlord on the property condition.
  • To ensure that we hold the relevant statutory documentation and to arrange renewal when approaching expiry (GSCs, EPCs, EICRs, Property Licences).
  • Client relationship management and development.
Skills Required The majority of your time will be spent supporting landlord and tenants over the telephone, via email and in person. As such, you will need to be confident, personable and have excellent listening skills. You should have a demonstrated history of building relationships and being an effective high-level communicator. Being relatable to our clients and identifying common ground with them is essential. Experience in the property industry is not necessary. We require level-headed and driven individuals, who are looking to build a career where they can effectively transfer their existing skillset, and develop this further. You should be self-sufficient, driven to succeed, and able to stay calm under pressure. Remuneration & Benefits Basic Salary Starting £22,500, increasing to £25,000 on completion of probation. Location Head Office (Waterloo) Office Hours Monday - Friday 09:00 - 18:00 Line Manager Head of Resident Services Holiday Allowance 20 Days, Plus Bank Holidays and Birthday Additional Leave gifted over Christmas Period ("varies from year to year") Contract Full Time, Permanent Additional Benefits Enrolment to pension scheme Remote working once a week Laptop and equipment provided Funding to obtain ARLA qualification upon starting job (all materials provided) Events such as Summer and Christmas parties
