Role summary

We're looking for a Vetting Administrator to join our Vetting team responsible for the management of National Security clearances held by BAE Systems Digital Intelligence's employees and contractors, based onsite at our Leeds office. This role is responsible for ensuring that clearance applications are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and that current clearances are maintained efficiently in order to support Business Operations. Working within the Security function, this role contributes to securing BAE Systems Digital Intelligence against the ever evolving threats against the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing clearance applications for employees and contracted staff in accordance with government guidelines and client specific processes.
  • Managing leaver's notifications on client networks when employees and contractors leave the business.
  • Liaising with staff to ensure clearance administration is completed in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing visitors for secure areas and client sites.
  • Building good working relationships with key clients and vetting authorities.
  • Ensure a working knowledge and experience of all responsibilities of the NS Clearances team to ensure continuity in the absence of a team member.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a UK National eligible to receive DV Clearance.
  • Ability to work with the highest level of discretion and integrity as the role involves working with a considerable volume of sensitive and personal information.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, with experience of delivering briefs and presentations.
  • Sound experience of working with Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work independently; this role is located at a different site to the wider team.
  • Previous security clearance / vetting administration experience within the National Security or Defence sector is desirable but not essential.
