Job Responsibility:

As a Media Archive Coordinator in a successful film department, you will play a crucial role in the management and organisation of digital assets throughout the production and post-production process.

You will ensure that all data is correctly handled, ensuring a smooth post-production workflow and content archive solution. Working with Editors, Production Managers and Producer/ Directors.

You will have a technical background and a general interest with film.

You will work in our London office where you will predominantly be based with the occasional option of remote working.

You will report into the Post Production Manager

What will you do …

Data management, back-up and security

• Ingest, organise and manage all digital files from a range of sources
• Ensure accurate logging for all footage
• Maintain and keep digital asset management systems up to date, working with IT teams
• Support the department with the supply of necessary encrypted drives
• Implement and monitor data backup procedures to ensure the integrity of files
• Manage the secure transfer of data between production and post-production teams

Workflow support and collaboration

• Help prepare projects and all relevant files for editing, maintaining high standard of technical operation
• Quality Control incoming assets
• Work with our Editors and other team members to provide a seamless workflow
• Transcode footage to appropriate formats
• Communicate with production teams to address any data-related issues promptly

General production/ post-production support

• Help with any scheduling and retrieving assets from freelance team members
• Small edit jobs: topping/ tailing and amending errors or glitches
• Subtitling
• Manage in-house edit suites and several post-production hardware
• Attend shoots and live events as a data wrangler/ general assistant

What do you need to have …

• Previous experience in a data wrangling/ post-production assistant or similar role
• Understanding of several video formats, codecs and post-production workflow
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud - Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, and several industry software
• Understanding of video compressions and transcoding processes
• Experience working with multiple tasks
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues
