About the role

We are seeking an Access and Participation Coordinator on a fixed term contract until 31st January 2025, to join our dynamic and fast paced Access and Participation Team. This is an exciting time to join a team which plays a central role in the delivery of our Access and Participation Plan and the University's civic and social commitments.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills to manage a diverse range of duties which you must be able to work on pro-actively and independently, prioritising a range of tasks on a daily basis. Tasks will include a mixture of coordination and administrative tasks, including the management of Access and Participation email inbox, administrative support for activities using the CRM (Customer Relationships Management) and assisting with the organisation and delivery of Access and Participation activity for the Senior Access and Participation Officers, Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, and Progression Officer.

You will also work closely with the Access and Participation Operations Manager, Student Recruitment Team and colleagues across the university, and co-ordinate meetings of the Access and Participation Steering Group and Working Group.

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organisation skills, with keen attention to detail. You will have experience working as part of a team and a Level 3 qualification or above and/or equivalent experience. Previous experience creating digital content or communication campaigns would be beneficial.

This position involves working with children (under-18s) / vulnerable people and therefore requires compliance with the University's Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment. The University is committed to stringent Safeguarding practices, including in its practices around the recruitment and selection of staff, to positions which involve working with children and/or vulnerable people. The successful candidate will be required to complete AUB approved Safeguarding Training.
