Job Responsibility:
We are pleased to be able to offer a new opportunity for a fixed term 6 month role to aid the facilitation and implementation of a new system called ‘Chemo care' to Hillingdon Hospital. You will be based in The Medical Haematology Day Unit and will be involved in the development of new pathways and standard operating policy working closely with the Haematology team. To facilitate and help implement the transition to Chemo care e prescribing and electronic diary to Medical Haematology Day Care Unit (MHDC) at Hillingdon Hospital. To co-ordinate provision of SACT (Systemic anti- cancer therapy) ensuring treatments are available at the point of use before their planned administration time. Communicate effectively with all those involved in the chemotherapy pathway to ensure the best possible experience for patients and the most efficient service for staff. To be able to work without direct supervision. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics. The safety and well-being of our patients and of our staff is paramount and we are making urgent improvements to address this - particularly in infection prevention and control.
