Job Responsibility:

To be responsible for overseeing the provision of the failsafe services provided by Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Post holder will ensure the failsafe team provide an efficient and high quality failsafe service meeting all the needs of the NHSCSP. In addition the post holder will also provide administrative support to ensure smooth delivery and provision of MDT documentation and under the direction of the services manager/MDT co-ordinators. This role requires the daily use of the pathology IT systems and other databases at a very high level of accuracy and speed when inputting demographic and test data. The post holder will coordinate the Colposcopy service. This will include making/cancelling/rearranging clinics and appointments as necessary, attending MDT meetings, minute taking, etc. The post holder will be required to monitor and maintain the patient 18 week treatment pathway, in accordance with Trust guideline. Provide a comprehensive administration service for the Colposcopy team. To assist in the achievement of departmental objectives. The post holder is required to maintain the Trust's values and core standards and to lead by example. To oversee, run and maintain failsafe, audits spreadsheets and database on Cyres. To assist in the completion and submission of the quarterly and annual KC65 returns. Ensure all patients who attend and access cervical screening services are captured within the appropriate databases. With patient's information, examinations and results are recorded accurately. To ensure timely dispatch of failsafe responses to sample requestors. Ensure there is an appropriate escalation of any errors/concerns with the failsafe service provided by the department to the Programme Administration Manager/Operational Service Manager and the CSPL. Assist with the MDT provision in collaboration with colposcopy coordinators to ensure documentation is made available in a timely manner when required. To ensure that all calls are answered courteously and professionally and dealt with when required. To participate in regular team meetings with other member of the team and laboratory. Assist with the production of reports on the failsafe service provided by the department. As required, service meetings (departmental, professional) including setting up agendas, taking and producing minutes, booking and preparing venues, inviting participants. Cover for periods of absence and assist in the emergency cover of specific work (i.e. urgent letters/reports) if required to ensure turnaround times and standards are maintained.
