The Opportunity

In this role, you provide inspirational leadership, vision, and energy to lead a team of staff ranging from building technical specialists to contract management staff. You will have a good understanding of compliance but will have the confidence to defer to experts to assist with decision-making where required.

You will offer property services tailored to schools, encompassing caretaking, premises management, and expert building fabric advice. You will be innovative to stay ahead of the curve by actively seeking out new opportunities in the market to enhance our Service Level Agreement offerings, with the aim of generating around £500,000 in revenue.

You will have strong partnership working skills that you will use with your stakeholders and be able to work with complex contracts to ensure WSCC's schools interests are looked after.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills and a desire to use these in influencing colleagues, partners, and decision-makers, as part of our mission to secure continuous improvement in our facilities management service.

You will have solid and effective partnership working skills with the ability to cultivate and oversee strong relationships within and outside the organisation, coordinating various partners and stakeholders to achieve objectives successfully.

The ideal candidate will have strong people management and performance evaluation skills, capable of leading and motivating others while offering guidance and encouragement to individual team members.

You will bring with you a wealth of experience in budget management, contract management and play a crucial role in decision making on high level spending.
