The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Network and Server Operations Team Lead to manage and oversee our network and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in network and server administration, combined with strong leadership skills. As a Team Lead, you will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our IT systems, while leading a team of skilled professionals

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating systems.
• Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.
• Perform system and network administration tasks, including managing routers, firewalls, servers, computers, hardware/software, data recovery, and backups.
• Handle application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and managing security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
• Collaborate with other departments to address systems/network needs and upgrade systems as necessary.
• Assist in developing, testing, evaluating, and installing system enhancements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT support, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, network, and mobile operating systems, device hardware, and common business systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with device management and deployment systems such as Quest KACE, JAMF, Intune, SmartDeploy, etc.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on training and development
• Basic understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
• Industry standard certificates such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are preferred.
• Solid understanding of network routing protocols and advanced analytical problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
