Opportunity information Salary £20000 per year Duration 15 months Advert closing date 19/07/2024 Description We are hiring on behalf of Tangerine Communications for a PR Apprentice to enrol on The Juice Academy's level 4 PR & Communications apprenticeship, provided by Smoking Gun. The successful candidate will work across both the consumer and B2B/corporate teams at Tangerine, as well as supporting with marketing for the agency. A PR Apprentice should possess a real passion for communications. They should be excellent team players with energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to ‘get stuff done'. As a key support to client teams, they help keep accounts running with a can-do attitude. They should take pride in their work, have a desire to learn and be able to conduct themselves with confidence and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to support with content creation and campaigns, including industry media and competitor analysis
- Support with drafting content in a variety of formats, including press releases and blogs, with the support of content executives
- Take part in brainstorms/ideation sessions to generate new content ideas
- Learn to understand different PR channels, why/when we use each, and the benefits
- Start to build relationships/connections e.g. with media, bloggers, influencers, etc.
- Assist with media list building for editorial sell-ins
- Assist with news reading, competitor monitoring and collation of AOIs (articles of interest) to be shared with clients
- Generally assist around the office keeping the environment presentable
- Assist with meeting set-up and errands when required
- Support with client administrative tasks, including meeting notes/contact reports
- Complete timesheets in a timely manner
- File materials and coverage correctly on the system
- Answer telephones
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently, taking responsibility for tasks given, meeting team deadlines and contributing to team success
- Seek support to manage time and plan priorities when needed
- Start to learn the commerciality of clients and the agency
- Listen and learn in financial and client updates
- Make use of all training aids available to develop skills and expertise in a proactive manner
- Manage workload and understand priorities across the accounts, communicating pressure points with the team as appropriate to ensure no actions are being missed

Entry requirements
- Grade C/level 4 in English and Maths GCSEs to be eligible for apprenticehsip
- Strong written and oral commununication skills
- Show inititaive and proactivity
- Strong organisation skills
- A nouse for news and current affairs
- A storyteller with good research skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft package
Training to be provided You will undertake the groundbreaking Juice Academy PR and Communications Level 4 apprenticeship. Blended Delivery Model
- Academy training sessions (full day in person every 2-3 weeks)
- E-Lessons and activities to embed the learning in the workplace
- 1:1 tailored Coaching
- Three-way Progress Reviews - Coach, Apprentice and Line Manager
- ‘20% off the job training'- the apprentice needs to evidence that they are training/learning something new at least 6 hours a week during working hours. The academy training, practical assignments and self-study fall under this as well as internal training / learning in the workplace.
