At eXPD8, we're currently growing which is why we have an exciting and rare opportunity to join us as a Regional Field Manager based in the Edinburgh and Glasgow area.

About the role:

The role is field based with travel in and around Edinburgh, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, and to our central office in Bristol as required.

The salary is up to £31,500 (DOE) inclusive of car allowance.

The Regional Field Manager (RFM) will achieve excellence by ensuring their retail merchandising team of District Leaders (DLs) and Display Representatives (DRs) are recruited, trained and motivated to effectively deliver retail support services. Your team will work in a range of high street and grocery retailers on behalf of exciting household name brands in a variety of categories including: Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.

The RFM plays a crucial role within the Operations team, regularly travelling within their region to ensure their team is appropriately supported and working cross-functionally with Head Office teams to ensure we are delivering the client's requirements.

How you'll deliver excellence:

  • Ensure the delivery of your regional KPIs including coverage, hours utilisation and service level agreements.
  • Act as the expert in retail merchandising and retail support services to ensure you can support your team.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of remote part-time merchandisers, ensuring all people processes are followed.
  • Drive engagement of your team through coaching, motivating and training.
  • Work collaboratively with Head Office teams, including the People team and Client Services, to ensure your people have a great experience within eXPD8 and are delivering the client's expectations.
  • Utilise data to drive your decision making.

What makes you excellent:

Essential knowledge and experience:

  • Experience of working in either a retailer environment or a brand led organisation
  • Minimum 2 years line management experience - experience managing a remote team or large number of direct reports in a bonus!
  • A track record of developing a high performing team.
  • Ability to influence key decision makers; internal and external.
  • Proven decision-making abilities.
  • Experience of working in cross functional working relationships.

Desired Knowledge and experience:

  • Working in a sales agency business
  • Experience in working with tactical and / or syndicated sales teams
  • Retail experience from working in a grocery store environment with good knowledge of store systems and ways of working
  • Experience of managing budgets / overheads

Skills

  • Ability to analyse data
  • Ability to turn insight into actionable plan
  • Strong influencer; verbal and written
  • Ability to motivate individuals and diverse, remote teams
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations with personnel
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment with teams such as HR, IT, Client Accounts etc.
  • Solid IT skills; excel, e-mail, word
