How you'll help us make health happen:

The Head of Enterprise Risk is a senior leadership role within Bupa's UK (‘BGUK') Market Unit - both UK Insurance & ‘Bupa Global' (international private medical insurance). Reporting to the Director of ERM, you will support leadership & direction of the Insurance Enterprise Risk Management Team.

Key duties:

  • Co-ordination of risk & compliance information for Market Unit (‘BGUK')

  • Provide risk management advice across business areas

  • Develop & promote the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Enhance 2LOD framework to support strategic risk management

  • Monitor and report all material risks

  • Regular review of policies, procedures and governance

  • Liaise with key stakeholders: Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk, General Managers

  • Support training for risk teams

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Senior risk professional with significant experience in Financial Services

  • Experience of risk capital quantification, setting risk appetite, designing risk frameworks

  • Functional knowledge of risk, control and regulation across 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defence

  • Strategic mindset and commercially astute

  • Excellent communication skills; gravitas to engage with Executive management
