Job Responsibility:

Electricity North West seeks a Jointer or Trainee Jointer to join our inclusive and collaborative team in Blackburn. The role comes with a salary of up to £45,695.76 per year, depending on experience plus excellent benefits.

As an authorised Jointer, you will be required to work on the ENWL underground electricity distribution network under both live and dead conditions. You will participate in repair, maintenance inspection and fault-finding activities commensurate with your level of authorisation.

We are also happy to consider applications from candidates who are prepared to follow a predetermined training and development plan designed to enable you to gain the appropriate qualifications, Knowledge and skills to fulfil this role.

To give you an idea of how this Jointer / Trainee role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

• Participate in fault location and repair work, ensuring that interruptions to the customers' electricity supply are kept to an absolute minimum
• Report progress throughout, thereby enabling the Customer Contact Centre to keep our customers fully informed at all times
• Be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of various items of underground plant
• Fully comply with Electricity North West codes of practice and take a proactive approach to safety
• Participate in predetermined safety processes as required

• Customer-focused with the ability to communicate clearly - essential
• Willing to work outside in all weather with some anti-social hours - essential
• Hold a minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Math and English or equivalent essential
• NRSWA qualification would be an advantage
• Relevant City & Guilds level 2 qualification would be an advantage
• In possession of a full UK driving licence - essential
• Well-organised, self-motivated and happy working as part of a team - essential
