Job Description JOB TITLE: Adviser Experience and Enablement Manager SALARY: £73,262 + DOE LOCATION: Remote HOURS: Full-time About this opportunity: In November last year, we shared our refreshed strategy and vision for Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) - to become a customer centric and digital first business in order to be a Top 3 provider in the intermediated pensions and protection markets. Following the acquisition of Embark in 2022, Scottish Widows have improved our proposition and streamlined our technology to allow us to be easier to work with and promote better customer outcomes. As we move from transformation to growth, we're investing in the capabilities in our Distribution function, to grow our market leading team. These capabilities allow us to build and develop truly strategic relationships with advisers and partners, delivering this transformation to the market. A new role has been crafted for an Adviser Experience and Enablement Manager. Playing an integral part in our strategy, you'll lead an external facing team who provide support and expertise to IFAs at all stages of the adviser journey. You'll support staff to ensure that advisers are provided with technical expertise throughout the sales process, from pitching, to onboarding to relationship management. Accountable for owning the evolution of market leading service capability, you'll ensure that our customers are put at the heart of our business. This role has a direct impact on the success of the Scottish Widows strategy and the continued growth of our presence across all target markets. You'll work closely with Operations and Change to ensure advisers have access to relevant and timely information and service delivering effective Distribution Management. In addition, the collaborate with the Adviser Lab and Change to deliver our strategic vision for advisers, championing adviser and client experience. Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide technical insight & lead all aspects of the development and improvements of adviser migrations and experiences whilst ensuring minimal customer disruption and a market leading experience.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with other functions, including CCO, the Adviser Lab, Operations and Change.
  • As more of our world becomes underpinned by technology, we need to understand how to support people in the adoption and transition to Digital, as well as understand that not everyone will want to adopt digital propositions.
  • The role will have 7 direct reports and a wider team of circa 28 FTE.

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of an adviser, of the market, the intermediary sector, and requirements of transformation.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills across all levels, with the ability to build a high impact experience in every interaction whether on a one to one or group basis.
  • Experience of working in an operational environment within the intermediary or platform market.
  • Ability to holding yourself and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Be customer centric whilst advising your team effectively and get results!
