Job Responsibility:
The Postgraduate Careers Services at Alliance MBS provide a comprehensive set of careers services to our students to support them in their long-term professional development. In addition, we engage with the external market to assist these students in maximising their experience, building strong relationships with alumni and external organisations. This is a key role within the team, with two primary elements: the first is to support the delivery of careers related services to postgraduate students, assisting them in developing the necessary skills to engage the job market; the second is to collaborate on a wide variety of projects within the team, including the collection and analysis of employment data and the management of technology across the service.
The post holder will provide 1:1 careers guidance to MSc students and assist the Senior Careers Consultants in delivering group based sessions to all postgraduate students and general careers guidance. In addition, the incumbent will support students in developing themselves for academic related projects to gain additional experience.
Projects the incumbent will engage in include collecting and managing a suite of employment data for reporting and rankings purposes, supporting, and developing the departments use of technology and managing a range of careers related activities.
Generally, the post-holder will work as part of a team and will be asked to pick up a range of administrative tasks as required by the department.
