Job Responsibility:

Electricity North West is looking for an experienced cable Jointer to join our inclusive and collaborative team in Barrow. The role comes with a generous salary, many excellent benefits and the chance to progress your career at a thriving company.

As an authorised cable Jointer, you will work on the ENWL underground electricity distribution network under live and dead conditions. You will participate in repair, maintenance inspection and fault-finding activities commensurate with your authorisation level.

As an experienced Jointer you will be expected to:

• Work with street furniture faults, replacing single and three-phase service terminations, finding and repairing customer services, restoring supplies to multiple customers including LV operations, and repairing high voltage cables
• Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments, raise permits, and use disc cutters, breakers, hand tools and mini diggers to excavate in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and company codes of practice.

To apply for this Jointer role, you will need an understanding of safety systems and the importance of risk assessments. You will also need to be customer-focused with the ability to communicate clearly and be willing to work outside in all weathers with some anti-social hours. In addition, you should be in possession of a full UK driving licence and be well organised, self-motivated and happy working as part of a team.
