Our Risk team supports the business in providing risk guidance on transactions, new products and opportunities and implementing a strong risk management framework, including assessing that internal controls are designed and operating effectively. As a Line 1 Risk Director, you will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Private Credit and Asset Finance businesses, Macquarie's central Risk Management Group and other specialist areas of Macquarie to reinforce a culture of risk management. You will be a key member of the team providing support to the Head of Risk - MAM Credit and the broader teams on a range of risk framework activities and projects. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and be comfortable interpreting and balancing commercial issues within a risk framework and have recent relevant experience for example in Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit, Risk management or Operations. What you offer
  • At least 7 to 10 years' experience developing or executing non-financial risk management frameworks preferably for a private debt investment manager.
  • Strong understanding of business control environments and technology through prior risk management or equivalent roles
  • The ability to develop and contribute thought-leadership in the delivery of risk insights.
  • You will be an analytical/lateral thinker and confident communicator, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships within the business.
  • Leading deep dive risk / control assurance reviews that consist in assessing the design and operating effectiveness of our internal controls.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide risk advice on projects and other related framework activities partnering with the business to help design effective controls and improving processes to monitor the risk management framework effectively and efficiently.
