Job Responsibility:
Primarily UK European & International Markets
The purpose of the role is to grow sales at Silver Pail Dairy.
This person will be required to develop, identify and target new markets and customers primarily in the UK Retail & Foodservice Industry.
It will also involve the development of new products to achieve the desired growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.
· Summary of key duties and responsibilities.
o Develop and implement a sales strategy to grow sales as outlined above.
o Identify and develop business opportunities in new and existing markets.
o Identify potential new product opportunities and work with customers and the internal teams to develop products to fill the identified gaps.
o Maintain and enhance relationships with current customer base, where possible grow sales to current customers
o Work closely with the senior management team and other functions in the business to ensure the smooth delivery of sales growth and new product introductions.
o Develop a more coherent brand platform for Silver Pail Dairy to communicate with customers and potential customers.
· Key measurement criteria / accountabilities.
o Growth in profitable sales
o Growth in new markets and recruitment of new customers
o Retention, positive engagement and sales growth with current customers.
o Development and successful launch of new products.
· Management, reporting / supporting structure (solid & dotted line) and key internal and external stakeholders and interfaces to include an organization chart.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales and Marketing will be part of the Senior Management team. There will be strong interaction and support from the R&D, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
· Remuneration package guidelines. To be discussed further.
o Minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG sales role with Multi National experience or International selling experience in a medium or large company.
o Experience in management of UK Retailers and Foodservice operators Imperative.
o Experience with European Retailers and Foodservice Operators.
o Minimum qualified to degree level with a business or technical qualification
o Good IT skills and competency in the use of social media as a communication and marketing tool.
o Strong contacts within the retail and / or foodservice sector in one or more of the target markets.
o Good negotiation and influencing skills.
o Good numerical ability and understanding of margins, promotions and the general financial norms in the industry.
o Imaginative, with the ability to read trends, visualize gaps in the market and present these gaps to customers as a viable product proposition.
· Cultural, individual and personal characteristics to ensure that the appointed candidate will succeed; this should include their long-term ambition and motivations.
o Silver Pail Dairy is not a large company therefore there is a requirement for multitasking and flexibility in any of our senior managers.
o Ability to work well and collaborate with other members of the senior management team
o Able to communicate and motivate the sales team.
o The company has the desire and building blocks in place to grow significantly over the next few years, the person should have the drive and commitment to achieve this growth.
o Agile and flexible in mindset and able to work on several projects at one time.
