Based in our London office; we are currently looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to join our Fund Solutions investment team on a permanent basis.

The role

Fund Solutions manages a range of solutions for a variety of different client types, with a range of different asset class exposures, including some alternative assets. The Fund Solutions team is integrated into the Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager investment team, which operates in South Africa and the United Kingdom. The Investment Operations Analyst will have specific assigned responsibilities and work closely to support the Fund Solutions and Multi-Manager team.

Key responsibilities include:

Portfolio Implementation and monitoring:

  • Irish Funds cash flows
  • SIP Funds cash flows
  • SCI cash flows

Non-cash flow operational support:

  • Responsible for basic research requests
  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheets for investment analysis
  • Developing tools for the team
  • Working and co-ordinating within the team to provide various data and information

Global Manager Research Team (including Fund Solutions) investment support:

  • Updating and maintaining internal meeting agendas
  • Internal minutes and report writing
  • Producing and distributing
  • Maintaining the Global Manager Dashboard
  • Producing materials for Portfolio Review Meetings
  • Co-ordinating and facilitating requests across the team

Other responsibilities include:

  • Multi-manager investment manager research library / database - assist in the maintenance of the database through accessing and storing relevant materials
  • Assist with preparing reports to clients, including written reports and presentations
  • Liaising with Fund Administrators and Custodians to resolve any relevant operational issues

Experience / Qualifications

  • Graduate vacancy or for a candidate with up to two years of experience in a similar environment
  • The successful candidate may have started studying for the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or a similar investment qualification

Salary and Benefits

  • Basic salary : £30,000 per annum
  • Benefits: Private Medical, health care cash plan, income protection, life assurance and pension plus access to a range of voluntary benefits.
  • Annual leave: 25 days
  • Hybrid working : 3 days in the office and 2 from home. You may need to attend the office more regularly initially for training purposes.
