What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain applications using front end technologies
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and translate them into functional applications
- Optimise application performance and ensure responsiveness for customers
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, and propose solutions to improve application performance and customer experience
- Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver high-quality and innovative applications
- Along with the Lead Engineer, help to coach more junior members of the team, ensuring high quality standards of code, ways of working and delivery
Skills
- React JS / TypeScript / JavaScript (5 years +)
- Performance optimisation
- Analytics and observability, e.g, dynatrace
- Unit testing
- Experience of supporting and troubleshooting live customer applications
- Knowledge of front-end architecture and patterns
- GraphQL API understanding
- Integration testing
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Have led or have a desire to mentor more junior software engineers whilst being in a senior
