Job Responsibility:

LOCATION: Hoo

HOURS 32 per week

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, energetic person to help continue and further develop the success of our volunteer team.

Working 32 hours over 4 or 5 days, you will lead the Volunteer Administrators, and be responsible for recruiting, training and managing volunteers from the local communities as well as building strong working relationships within these communities. You will use your experience and knowledge to identify the skills required to meet the needs of individuals or groups within the wHoo Cares' programme and create a development plan based on those needs. You will also look to develop the skills of our existing volunteers by identifying relevant new training opportunities. You will work alongside the Head of Life Planning to ensure that our Partners are being supported by volunteers with similar interests or the appropriate skill set to meet the needs of the client.

You will be part of a small, yet innovative team, making real, positive changes in peoples lives. Based at our office in Hoo, you will be required to travel around the Hoo Peninsula and occasionally to other areas of Medway meeting prospective volunteers and building relationships with other organisations. You will be line managed by the wHoo Cares' Manager.

wHoo Cares is a community based organisation with the vision to address social isolation and improve the health and well-being of vulnerable people of all ages. We empower individuals to shape and manage their own support whilst utilising the abilities, skills and expertise of local people through our volunteer programme. wHoo Cares supports individuals on the Hoo Peninsula (ME3 postcode) and works with local communities, groups and organisations as well as other local and national organisations in order to achieve the best results for our Partners (clients).

Pay: £19,200.00-£20,000.00 per year
