Role Purpose:

  • The Piping Supervisor will oversee and manage the installation and maintenance of piping systems within a nuclear infrastructure project.
  • This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of piping operations in compliance with stringent nuclear industry standards
What you'll be doing

As a Piping Supervisor, you will have the following accountabilities;

  • Lead a team of pipefitters, welders, and other skilled workers.
  • Ensure team adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication.
  • Plan and schedule piping installation activities in coordination with other construction phases.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Assist in the development of detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures to meet nuclear industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the integrity and functionality of piping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site.
  • Ensure all piping work complies with nuclear safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any identified issues promptly.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and installation challenges.
  • Liaise with other supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of work performed and resources used.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Construction Manager.
Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Experience as a supervisor in a similar role
  • Hold correct industry grade card
  • Ability to achieve BPSS
