As the Sr Director of Business Development, you will play a key role in spearheading new business opportunities and influencing the growth of our Protein Diagnostics (PDX) business unit. This position holds immense importance in shaping our organization's future and making a substantial contribution to the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong understanding of assigned customers and their marketplaces through various sources, including direct customer exchanges, networking, and industry events.
  • Lead all new business development activities inside assigned accounts, from proposal to negotiation, resulting in new contract agreements and "program" accounts.
  • Develop and manage an efficient account development plan, tracking progress and reporting in account review sessions.
  • Foster effective coordination across divisions and global teams.
  • Gather feedback from customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to inform decision-making for important projects.
  • Manage the PMO organization and ensure execution, alignment, and organizational accountability.
  • Collaborate with the VP/GM and head of R&D to drive important projects, providing regular reports and updates to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Business Strategy or similar; PhD in a Business relevant segment preferred.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in a similar role within the IVD business segment, Large Pharma, or Medical Device Industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing long-term business strategies and driving business growth.
  • Strong insight in R&D, Marketing, and Sales in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas like developing long-term goals, overseeing projects, and driving sales.

This position is based in the United Kingdom with frequent global travel. You will report to the Vice President and General Manager of the Protein Diagnostics (PDX) business unit.
