We are looking for a caring, creative and committed individual who will form part of an excellent team responsible for providing educational and play opportunities for 2.5-5-year-olds.

The person will provide valuable support as our Relief Early Years Practitioner helping us to provide cover when additional support is required or to provide any other cover such as emergency or sickness absence.

Our 24 place Ofsted registered Pre-School operates to serve the community and build relationships with local families. We are open Monday and Friday until 1pm and mid-week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday until 3pm, term time only. We are on bus routes and also have a large car park on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The care and supervision of the children
  • Provision of learning opportunities
  • Working as part of a team
  • Operating within a key person system of individual care
  • Supporting parents/carers and families

The successful candidate(s) will be/have:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in early year's childcare according to Department for Education
  • English GCSE level 4 or Grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Able to work within the Christian ethos and mission of The Salvation Army as a Christian Church and Registered Charity
  • Applicants must be willing to be open to a DBS check
