Contract Operations Manager - Carnforth

We are currently looking for a Contract Operations Manager to join our Milk Transport team based in Carnforth, covering the South Cumbria/North Lancashire area.
In this role, you will be a pivotal lead in in managing the operation for our services with a customer and contract that has recently commenced. You will provide key leadership and management in supporting the continued successful delivery of the contract. You will work closely with the customer and stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure the service delivery is high. You will also have management responsibility as well as supporting the team as required to ensure compliance with all relevant legislations. We are looking for a people focused manager who provides effective leadership and management. Ideally you will have experience in continuous improvement, optimising processes and implementing strategies to drive efficiency and profitability, alongside these you will have the drive and energy to succeed in providing excellent employee experience and customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role you will be a ‘people person' and a real team player. Previous Operations Management experience and knowledge of the milk transportation would be advantageous but just as importantly, you have great leadership and management qualities and will be an effective communicator and able to stay calm under pressure, thriving in a busy and fast-paced environment. You will have strong experience at working closing with your customers and stakeholders, building effective relationships. You are organised, proactive, and have excellent attention to detail.
The hours for this role will mainly be office hours through Monday to Friday, with weekend and evening work supporting the team and services as required. Travelling will also be required for the area the role requires.
