Are you a qualified health and safety professional with hospitality/food management experience? We have an opportunity for a driven and passionate Health & Safety Manager to work with a prestigious client providing expert advice, guidance and support at both strategic and operational levels using your influence and intuition to identify upcoming challenges and risks. As the Health and Safety manager you will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead Restaurant Associates Managers and teams in ensuring the hygiene, safety and environmental management systems are communicated; clearly understood; accessible; and implemented to meet the requirements of the relevant standards.
  • Coordinate the implementation of these standards via agreed implementation plans.
  • Overall standards of food safety.
  • Overall standards of Health and Safety.
  • Manage audit results
  • Manager local authority audits.
  • Lead all training across Health and Safety.
  • Coach and lead Managers to deliver correct Health and Safety procedures and compliance.
  • Support contract specific safety and facilities management requirements.
  • Responsibility for staff involvement, commitment and safety training.
  • Support the engagement, buy-in and implementation of new HSE initiatives
  • Support the management and development of the HSE Management Systems content on the HSE Website.
  • Personal coaching of Restaurant Associates Managers, Chefs and teams in facilitating their performance development to deliver safety culture continuous improvement.
  • To assist in preparing units for external audits.
  • Complete internal audits and support external audits where necessary.
  • Ensure the Restaurant Associates business is fully supported in meeting safety requirements via suitable and sufficient safety training sessions.
The ideal person: You will hold IOSH & Food Safety Level 3 qualifications and be an experienced H&S/facilities professional. CDM and safety event management experience is essential. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence, engage and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.
