Job Description Summary: Job Description: The Monitoring and Detection Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of an effective monitoring program aimed at identifying CFA Institute members and candidates who have violated or are suspected of violating the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. This position involves collaboration, analysis, and the application of advanced technologies to ensure compliance and uphold the integrity of the organization. This role will be based in the UK (remote) and will report to the Manager for Monitoring and Detection. The requirements of this role include:
- Support the design, development, and maintenance for a relevant and efficient monitoring program that assists in the identification of CFA Institute members and candidates who have violated or are suspected of violating the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Monitoring and Detection, to provide preliminary evaluation of case complexity / finding to identify relevant issues and cases.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Monitoring and Detection, on leveraging various information sources, including Compliance Connection.
- Monitor and detect potential misconduct and / or violations. Evaluate whether there is a possibility for an investigation and escalate findings and recommendations to the Manager, Monitoring and Detection.
- Explore and implement the use technology, including AI, for monitoring and detection.
The skills and experience required for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience performing monitoring and detection activities, preferably in finance, investment management, or related fields.
- Experience in monitoring technology; AI experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Office productivity tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Adobe Premier Pro.
- Demonstrated experience with leveraging innovative technology to improve processes.
- Willingness to ask questions and implement continuous process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Fluency in English required, knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Demonstrated elevated level of written and verbal communication skills.
Working and travel requirements:
- Full-time employment, with a requirement for occasional travel to our London Head office on Lombard Street (EC3).
