Job introduction

Brighton & Hove City Council is looking for a Business Support Officer to join a new service within our 0-24 Specialist Community Disability Service and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of it.

Do you want to be part of the keyworking service as part of the NHS long term plan?

Do you want to support a service that will ensure that children and young people who have a diagnosis of autism and/or a learning disability with the most complex needs have the support of a keyworker?

If so and you have the administrations skills to support this new service we'd like to hear from you.

The team will sit within the 0-24 Specialist Community Disability Service (SCDS) but will work closely with teams across education, health, social care and within the community.

Fixed term for: 12 Months

This role is available as a secondment to internal candidates in line with current council secondment policy as well as a fixed term contract for external candidates.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for providing all elements of administrative support for the Keyworking Service and the Service Lead for the Specialist Community Disability Service. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient running of the service through supporting with initial implementation, monitoring, producing reports and general administrative duties.

You will be able to prioritise your workload to meet the demands of the service whilst still managing to meet deadlines, the role will involve the use of IT and computer systems.

You will be required to provide customer focused information to those who contact the team and be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

You will need to be highly organised and able to work both independently and as part of the team.
