We are looking for a highlight organised Academic Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Academic Office. This role is available from the end of august for 12 weeks and paying £17.90 p/hr + holiday pay.

Duties include:

  • Management: Supervise two Academic Officers and ensure timely resolution of student cases.
  • Degree Ceremonies: Oversee arrangements, delegating details to the responsible Academic Officer.
  • Examinations and Assessments: Administer exams and teaching arrangements, ensure accurate recording in the Oxford Tutorial Management System, and coordinate College Collections and University examination entries.
  • Student Support: Assist students with intermissions, extensions, alternative exams, appeals, disabilities, and difficulties.
  • Academic Administration: Prepare for Academic Policy Committee meetings, maintain student records, oversee University Card orders, produce student status letters, and support undergraduate fresher registration.

Essential requirements

  • Previous Administrative experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a high-level of proficiency in verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, and an awareness of the sensitivities of dealing with a variety of different constituencies within the context of a collegiate University.
  • Excellent IT skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and an organised and methodical approach to work.
