Finance Assistant/Apprentice
Role Profile
As an Apprentice, you'll get the opportunity to work and study simultaneously so you can gradually develop your skills in both a practical and educational environment. Throughout your time with us, you'll work with other finance colleagues to gain a broad knowledge of transactional finance, which will give you a solid foundation for any career in finance.
What you'll be doing:
You'll gain experience in the different areas of transactional finance which will include: Accounts Payable, Credit Control, and Cash, dealing with daily and regular transactional tasks. Your day to day role will typically include:
● Processing a high volume of supplier invoices.
● Completing statement reconciliations.
● Setting up supplier & customer accounts.
● Assisting with credit control.
● Posting cash and reconciling bank statements.
● Monitoring the finance inbox and resolving internal & external queries.
● Answering telephone queries.
● General office administration eg opening post, filing & scanning documents.
● Other ad hoc finance duties as required.
The candidate will be funded in achieving their AAT qualification (Level 2 or 3 depending on experience).
