Role Summary

A key role within the business reporting directly to the Materials Manager. The Planner will be responsible for organising/co-ordinating operations planning functions in line with customer sales demand. Working in a constantly evolving setting, the successful incumbent will be responsible for achieving the service level agreements in place with our OE Customers whilst at the same time effectively managing the demand of the business. The role demands high intellect, particularly in the area of data gathering & analysis together with a personality profile that thrives in a continuous change engineering & manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule supported by Multi-Trial Kit reports to ensure viability.

Responsible for ensuring all Customer orders are captured within the ERP system and reconciled to SNC and discrepancies investigated/communicated with Customer merchandisers.

Responsible for ensuring SNC Comments in relation to delivery promises are accurate before updates on Customer Portal.

Work with customer base to determine weekly inbound forecast and develop consumption models to improve accuracy.

Maintain & Develop KPIs for Customer On time delivery.

Lead Planning review meeting and represent voice of the Customer at morning meetings to ensure customer promises are met.

Monitor Customer Stock levels to incorporate usage rates in the planning cycle to minimise Zero stock/product at Customer Warehouses.

Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target consistent with 95% customer service levels, inventory turn goals and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.

Develops sales & operating plan summaries for assigned product families (if applicable) and selected SKU's including demand, inventory and production data.

Develops feasible, master production schedules for finished goods and component items based on capacity requirements, and supports associated supply chain functions (Stores & Purchasing) in calculating resulting requirements for raw materials, purchased parts and packaging supplies based on MRP methodology.

Provides daily-bucketed schedules by SKU to manufacturing and installs production compliance metrics to measure performance.
