Job Responsibility:

Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists was established in 1938 and operating from 31 sites and supplying uniform to over 700 schools, is one of the country's largest multi-channel retailers of school uniform.

We are part of a market-leading, national Group with a combined annual turnover of over £55m and ambitious plans for continued growth.

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Warehouse Operative to join us in our regional distribution centre, on full-time contracts working Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm. We are a highly seasonal business and a degree of flexibility during our peak season over the summer is essential, including weekends.

You will fulfil a range of warehousing and driving duties including:

• Managing inbound stock
• Picking and packing orders for distribution to our branch network
• Picking and packing orders to send direct to customers
• Counting and labelling stock
• Assisting in the unloading and loading of vehicles
• Ad hoc deliveries where required
• Delivery of stock

To apply you will need to:

• Be able to drive a van
• Have demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Be able to work the hours advertised, with the flexibility to increase those during peak months
• Computer literate, be able to use Microsoft Word/Excel
• A good standard of verbal/written English.
• Ability to get yourself to work
• Personal transportation would be advantageous as warehouse not on bus route.

What are my hours:

Our contracts are for 40 hour per week. Weekend working may be required in our peak period (August/September).

Where will I work? We are located in Tewkesbury right between Cheltenham, Evesham, and Tewkesbury. There is NO public transport links to our site so having your own transport is essential to the job.
